Sponge:
2 pkg. yeast
1 cup warm water
2 T. sugar
4 cups warm water
4 egg yolks
1 T. salt
1/2 cup sugar
3 cups flour

1 cup oil
5 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Thoroughly dissolve sugar, water and yeast, let rise for 10 minutes. Beat the egg yolks and combine with the rest of the ingredients together with the yeast. Mix to a smooth batter and let rise until bubbly.
Work in 1 cup oil with 5 cups flour to the sponge mixture and knead well. This dough is not left to rise. Cut into small rounds with cookie cutter or pinch into small balls. Make and bake right away @ 375º F for 20 minutes. Use you favorite cottage cheese filling.
