In Loving Memory of Thaddeus Milton Banks ~ 1921-1945 ~
Thaddeus, a graduate of Cary High and Wake Forest College, was stationed at Cherry Point and also served in Hawaii before going on to the South Pacific. He was reported missing while running night time coastline searches for Japanese reinforcement troops. His body or plane was never found. Thaddeus loved flying and military life. He was loved by all who knew him.
