1 1/2 c. Sugar
2 Eggs
2 oz.. Red Food Coloring
2 c. Flour
1 tbsp. Cocoa1 tsp. Salt
1 c. Buttermilk
1 tbsp. Vinegar
1 tsp. Soda
1 tbsp. Vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Cream crisco and sugar, add eggs, vanilla & coloring. Sift flour, cocoa and salt together three times. Add dry ingredients, alternating with milk; beat until smooth. Mix vinegar and soda, fold into batter (do not beat)
Bake in layer pans 25 minutes at 350º
