1 egg, beaten
1 C soft bread crumbs
2 T chopped onion
2 T milk
3/4 tsp. salt
1 lb ground beef
2 T cooking oil
1 16 oz can pineapple tidbits
1 8 oz can whole cranberry sauce
1 C barbecue sauce
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 T cornstarch
1/4 C cold water
1 medium size green pepper, cut into strips
3 C cooked rice

Directions:
In large bowl, combine egg, crumbs, onion, milk, sat, and meat. Mix well. Shape into 24 balls. In large skillet, heat oil, and brown meatballs, shaking skillet, slowly, to keep balls round and evenly browned. Drain off excess oil. Drain pineapple, reserving syrup. Add water to reserved syrup to make 3/4 cup. Combine syrup mixture, cranberry sauce, barbecue sauce, remaining salt, and pepper. Pour over meatballs in skillet. Bring to boiling. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 20 minutes. Combine cornstarch and cold water. Stir in skillet. Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly. Add pineapple and green pepper. Simmer covered, till pepper is barely tender. Serve with hot rice.
