1/2 lb. butter
1 3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
15 oz. ricotta cheese
2 T. vanilla
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda

Glaze
5 T. milk
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. almond extract
1/4 c. sprinkles (optional)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350.

In a medium bowl, cream butter, sugar, eggs, ricotta, and vanilla. Combine the dry ingredients and blend into the creamed mixture, mixing in additional flour as necessary to make a workable dough. Roll dough into teaspoon-sized balls (or scoop) and arrange on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes in oven, until lightly browned.

In a medium bowl, mix the milk, powdered sugar, and almond extract until smooth. Spoon over warm cookies and sprinkle with sprinkles.
