1 pkg Dry Yeast (1T)
1 c. warm water
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
1/2 tsp salt
4 - 4 1/2 c. flour
6 T. butter, melted

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in water, add sugar, shortening, egg, salt and 1 cups of flour. Beat until smooth. Stir in enough flour to form soft dough. Place in greased pan and let raise until double in size. Punch dough down, shape into 1 1/2 inch balls, dip balls into butter and arrange in greased fluted tube pan. Let raise again until doubled.

Bake at 350º for 30-35 minutes
