2 sticks butter softened
2 cups flour
1 cup plus 2 tbsp. water
1 tsp. almond extract
3 eggs

Topping
11/2 cup 10X sugar
2 tbsp butter softened
11/2 tsp. almond extract
1-2 tbsp warm water

Directions:
Directions:
cut 1 stick butter into 1 cup flour. sprinkle 2 tbsp water over mixture and mix. Round into ball and divide in half. On ungreased baking sheet pat each half into strips and place 3 inches apart on pan.

heat 1 stick butter and 1 cup water to rolling boil in sauce pan.. Remove from heat and quickly stir in 1 tsp. almond extract and 1 cup flour. Stir vigorously over low heat until mixture forms a ball. Remove from heat and add eggs. Beat with wooden spoon until smooth and glossey. Divide in half and spoon half over each strip.

Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees. Remove from oven and let cool. Add topping
