1 c. butter
1 c powdered sugar
2-1/2 c flour
2 egg yolks beaten
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp almond extract or vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, beat in powdered sugar, add extract and beaten egg yolks.
Add flour and salt. Mix well. Press into a cook press.

Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes (watch closely).

My Mother made these cookies at Christmastime and it is a wonderful tradition. We still are making them so the next generation -- carry on. I remember Mother would become angry at the spritz maker--the cookies didn't always come out in the design desired--I relate to that too.
