4 strips bacon, crumbled
4 T butter
1 C onion, chopped
1 C celery, chopped
1 medium green pepper, chopped
1 16 oz can tomatoes
1/2 of 10 3/4 oz can condensed tomato soup
1/2 of 10 3/4 oz can of water
1 C tomato ketchup
1 tsp. salt
1/2 C sherry
1 T Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp celery seed
1/2 tsp allspice
1 or 2 drops Tabasco sauce
2 tsp. flaked parsley
1/8 tsp thyme
5-6 C cooked shrimp
1/2 C finely crushed saltine crackers (14 crackers)

Cook bacon in frying pan till crisp. Remove bacon and crumble. Add butter, onion, celery, and green pepper to grease in pan. Saute till tender and place in large kettle. Add crumbled bacon and all other ingredients except shrimp, saltines and sherry. Simmer 1 1/2 hours till mixture thickens. Add shrimp and cook till thoroughly heated. Add crushed saltines and sherry.
