1-1/2 c. All-Purpose Flour
3/4 c. Unsweetened Cocoa
2 tsp Baking Powder
3/4 tsp Salt
1/2 c. (1 stick) Butter (@ room temp)
3/4 c. Dark Brown Sugar
1/4 c. Sugar
2 lg Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1-1/4 c. Dark Chocolate Chips
1 c. Powdered Sugar

Directions:

In a medium bowl mix flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. In a stand mixer beat the butter until smooth then add the sugar and beat until well combined. Add the eggs and vanilla and beat until well combined.
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix until a dough is formed. Mix in the chocolate chips, cover and chill in refrigerator for 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 350º and line two cookie sheets with parchment paper. Keeping dough well chilled shape 1 tablespoon of dough into balls and roll in the powdered sugar. Place the balls 2 inches apart on cookie sheets and bake 10 - 12 minutes or until cookies have puffed and cracked. Transfer cookies to a wire rack and cool completely.

These are a great Christmas cookie. They are good with dark chocolate chips but would work with semi sweet or milk chocolate chips as well. If you like dark chocolate try using dark chocolate cocoa as it enhances the flavor. Finally make sure that the cookies don't over bake, you want them to crack but still be puffy and soft as too long in the oven and you'll have a dense crisp cookie.
