2 C sifted flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 C butter or Crisco
1/2 C firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 C granulated sugar
1/2 C honey
1 egg
2 C quick cook oats
2 C sugar-coated crisp rice cereal
1 C flaked coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour once. Measure & add baking powder, soda, & salt. Sift again. Place shortening, sugar, honey, egg, & flour in a large mixing bowl. Blend well; add cereal and coconut. Mix thoroughly.

Drop by teaspoonful onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand a few seconds before removing from baking sheet. Cookies will become crisp when cooled.
