2 pounds beef bones
1 pound neck bones with meat
1 can tomatoes
2 carrots-chopped
2 medium sized onions-chopped
1 turnip-chopped
2 potatoes-chopped
2 stalks of celery-chopped, include tender leaves
2 gallons water
Parsley and 2 bay leaves

Brown bones in oven 425 degrees. Turn to brown all sides. Place in large pot with 2 quarts of water, bay leaf, small stalk of celery-chopped and 1 small chopped carrot. Simmer for about 3 hours-cool. Strain and remove fat. Place broth back into pot and add remaining vegetables, bay leaf and a pinch of basil and parsley. Simmer until vegetables are cooked. About 45 minutes.
