1 c. Shortening
¾ c. Sugar
1 c. Boiling Water
1 c. Cold Water
½ c. lukewarm Milk
2 tbsp. dry yeast + 1 tsp. sugar
4 Eggs, beaten
2 tsp. Salt
Approximately 8 C. of flour

Directions:
Directions:
In a small bowl combine lukewarm milk, dry yeast and 1 tsp. sugar.

Cream shortening and sugar together. Add boiling water and then add cold water while mixing. Add milk/yeast mixture, beaten eggs, and salt. Gradually add flour until it forms a soft dough. Let rise. Form into rolls, and let rise again until double in size. Bake at 400° for 12-15 minutes.

For Crescent Rolls:
Divide dough into four equal pieces. Roll each piece into a circle ¼” thick. Brush with melted butter. Cut each circle into 12 pie shaped wedges. Roll each wedge from wide end to narrow tip. Curve ends to form crescent shape. Place on greased cookie sheets and let rise until double in size. Bake.
