1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 c. warm coffee
1 egg
1-1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. diced raw apples

Topping:
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. nut meats
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg and coffee, Mix in dry ingredients. Fold in apples, top with the topping.
Bake at 350º for 30 minutes in a 9 inch square pan.
