1 c. Brown Sugar
1 c. Sugar
1 ½ c. Butter or Margarine
2 Eggs
2 c. Flour
1 tsp. Baking Soda
3 c. Oatmeal
1- 12 oz. package of chocolate chips
1 can sweetened & condensed milk
1 tsp. Vanilla

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 °.

Cream brown sugar, sugar and 1 C. butter or margarine. Add eggs and mix well. Stir in flour, baking soda and oatmeal. Press 2/3 of mixture into the bottom of a 9x13 pan.

In a saucepan combine chocolate chips, sweetened & condensed milk, ½ C. butter, and vanilla. Stir over low heat until chocolate chips are melted. Pour this mixture into the same 9x13 pan, covering the oatmeal mixture. Drop dabs of the remaining mixture on top and bake for about 30 minutes.

I got this recipe when I was in the Primary Stake Presidency at one of our planning meetings. I have used it MANY times since. When I was working at the telephone company as an operator, I took it in and ended up having to make copies of the recipe for everyone. Our family has also loved it. We took it every year when we went to Lake Powell together.
