3/4 cup shortening (part butter)
1 cup sugar + 1 tbsp
1 egg
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
4 tbsp molasses
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, add sugar & molasses. Add egg & beat well. Stir in dry ingredients. Roll in 1 Inch balls, dip in granulated sugar & place on cookie sheet. they flatten a little when they are dipped in sugar. Bake at 350 for 10-15 min. Do not overbake.
