1 1-pound can (1 2/3 cups) mincemeat
2 cups thinly sliced apples
1/2 tsp grated lemon peel
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 recipe Plain Pastry

Directions:
Directions:
Combine mincemeat, apples, lemon peel and juice; heat thoroughly. Pour into 9-inch pastry-lined pie pan; adjust top crust. Sprinkle with a small amount of sugar and bake in hot oven (400º) 35 minutes.

Note: if using package mincemeat, follow directions on package.
