Ingredients:  
1 c. soft butter, 1/2 c. sugar, 2 c. sifted flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp. almond extract, 1/3 c. ground unblanched almonds, candied peel.

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and add sugar and beat until light. Add the almond extract. Add sifted dry ingredients and mix well. Work in nuts. Chill overnight. Shape into 3/4 inch balls and decorate with candied lemon, orange or grapefruit peel. Bake in 350º oven about 10 minutes. Store airtight.
