Ingredients:  
1 1/2 c. sugar, 6 tbsp. cornstarch, 1/4 tsp. salt, 3 c. milk, 4 egg yolks, t tsp. grated lemon rind, 1/2 c. lemon juice.

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, cornstarch, and salt in a large saucepan. Stir in milk and beat in egg yolks. Cook stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils 3 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in lemon rind and juice. Pour into medium bowl and cover. Chill until ready to use in cake filling.
