2 - 1.4 ounce packages chocolate covered toffee pieces (½ cup)
¾ cup butter or margarine
1/3 cup sugar
1 tablespoon milk
2 teaspoon vanilla
2 ¼ cup all-purpose flour
½ cup semisweet chocolate pieces
2 teaspoons shortening

1. Finely chop chocolate-covered toffee pieces. Set aside.
2. Beat butter in a large mixing bowl with electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Add sugar; beat until combined. Beat in milk and vanilla. Beat as much flour as you can with electric mixer. Stir in remaining flour and the copped chocolate covered toffee pieces with a wooden spoon. If necessary, cover and chill for 1 hour or until easy to handle.
3. Shape dough into 1-in. balls. Place 1 in apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
4. Bake at 325F for 15 to 20 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned. Cool on wire racks.
5. Combine chocolate pieces and shortening in a small saucepan over low heat. Heat and stir just until chocolate is melted. Drizzle over cookies on plate.
