Pastry for a 2 crust pie.
Enough apples for a well-filled pie
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 T butter

Directions:
Directions:
1. Prepare apples by washing,paring and coring.
2. Slice thin. lay slices all over bottom pastry in pie plate.
3. Turn rest of apple slices into pastry so you have a well- filled pie.
4. Turn white sugar over apples, then light brown sugar.
5. Sprinkle nutmeg,cinnamon and salt all over sugars.
6. Dot top of filling with butter.
7. Lay top pastry over filling.Bring edge of lower pastry up over top edge and
crimp together.
8. Bake at 425.º for about 40min.
9. Bake at 325º for another 20min.

Cover top with tin foil if it starts to brown to quickly. I also cut four small slits into top crust to vent.
