1 c shortening
1 c sugar
1 c brown sugar
2 lg eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
2 c flour
1 c peanuts, salted and without skins, (you can chop them smaller if you like)
1 c crushed potato chips (the thin sliced potato chip works best, no ridges

Directions:

1 1. Cream together until smooth the shortening, sugar, brown sugar, and eggs.
2 2. Add vanilla and soda, mix well. Add the flour, chips, and peanuts. Mix well.
3 3. Drop by spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet and back in a 350* oven for about 12 minutes. This cookie is supposed to be crispy and crunchy, so don't under bake them.

This recipe came from my Grandma Jeanette Lillie. They fascinated me when I was a kid because they had potato chips in them which makes them unique. I love the salty sweet taste of these cookies
