3 cups fresh corn kernels
2 1/2 cups buttermilk
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup corn meal
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
Vegetable or canola oil

Directions:
Directions:
Stir together corn and buttermilk.
Let stand 30 minutes.
Drain.
Combine flour, meal, salt, pepper in bag.
Add corn a little at a time - shake to coat.
Pour oil to 1/2 inch depth in small batches for 2 minutes
till golden.
Drain and serve.
