2 C all purpose flour
1 1/2 C whole wheat flour
1 1/2 C granulated sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 1/2 C milk
1/2 C cooking oil
2 T lemon juice
2 tsp. vanilla
1 C chopped walnuts
Butter, margarine or cream cheese

Directions:

In mixing bowl stir together all dry ingredients; set aside. In another mixing bowl beat together eggs, milk, oil, lemon juice, and vanilla. Add dry ingredients to beaten mixture. Stir till moistened. Fold in nuts. Turn batter into 2 greased and floured loaf pans 8x4x2 inch. Bake in a 350º oven for 50-55 minutes. Remove from pans, after cooling for 10 minutes. Cool on wire racks.
