"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup milk
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp gravy
1-2 tsp. kitchen bouquet

Directions:
Use the pan you cooked the turkey in - that way you can be sure to get all the wonderful drippings from the turkey. Make sure to scrape all of them off the bottom. Skim and reserve fat from drippings. Add chicken broth to the drippings. Measure fat and add melted butter if necessary to make 1/2 cup.

Pour the 1/2 cup fat into a medium saucepan. Stir in the all- purpose flour, salt, and pepper. Cook and stir over medium heat for 2 minutes. Gradually add to broth mixture. Add kitchen bouquet. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Add milk. Salt and pepper to taste. Cook and stir 1 minute more.

Personal Notes:
You may want to have a jar or two of turkey gravy in case this does not make enough or it flops! Mom used to add the gravy since we always needed a ton. I have never had gravy as good as Mom's - it was so tasty! Was it that kitchen bouquet????
