Directions: |
Directions:Use the pan you cooked the turkey in - that way you can be sure to get all the wonderful drippings from the turkey. Make sure to scrape all of them off the bottom. Skim and reserve fat from drippings. Add chicken broth to the drippings. Measure fat and add melted butter if necessary to make 1/2 cup.
Pour the 1/2 cup fat into a medium saucepan. Stir in the all- purpose flour, salt, and pepper. Cook and stir over medium heat for 2 minutes. Gradually add to broth mixture. Add kitchen bouquet. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Add milk. Salt and pepper to taste. Cook and stir 1 minute more. |

Notes: You may want to have a jar or two of turkey gravy in case this does not make enough or it flops! Mom used to add the gravy since we always needed a ton. I have never had gravy as good as Mom's - it was so tasty! Was it that kitchen bouquet????
