1 lb nice size shrimp
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
16 oz. can diced tomatoes
8 oz. tomato sauce
1 T worchester sauce
1-1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp. chili powder
dash or two tabasco

Simmer the celery, onion, and green pepper in 3 Tbsp of olive oil. Add everything else and let simmer for 30 minutes. Add 1 Tbsp cornstarch to thicken

I love making this dish! I love all the smells! I love the smells while chopping the fresh veggies, I love the smells while sautéing the veggies and I love the smells of everything melding together and simmering in the sauce - it permeates the whole house!

If you have a family member that has an aversion to chopped tomatoes (Doug) you can use tomato puree instead of diced tomatoes
