1 c flour
1 tsp mixed spice (see miscellaneous for recipe)
1/2 c + 2 T sugar
10 T butter
3/4 c currants
3/4 c sultanas
1/4 c chopped citrus peel
2 eggs
6 T milk

Directions:
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 350º.

Mix the flour and the spice. Clean and mix the fruit. Beat the eggs and milk together. Cream the butter and sugar in a warm bowl then add (alternately, a little at a time) the flour mixture and the egg/milk mixture. Add the fruit last and mix thoroughly.

Line a 7 inch cake pan (3 inches deep) with greased paper. Pour in the mixture and bake for 1 hour at 350º and then 1 1/2 hours at 275º.
