Ingredients: 1 bottle (750 ml.) of your favorite red or white wine 1 liter (32 oz.) bottle of clear soda such as Sprite or 7-Up 2 shots of Brandy 2 shots of Vodka 1 cup (8 oz.) of orange juice 1/2 cup (4 oz.) of sugar or 4 packets of Equal or Splenda 1 lemon 1 apple 1 orange

Directions: |
Directions:Step 1: Combine all the liquid ingredients together in a pitcher or punch bowl.
Step 2: Squeeze the juice of 1/2 the lemon into the mixture. Slice and add to mixture. Lemon juice can be substituted for a real lemon.
Step 3: Add sugar or sugar substitute (increase or decrease amount based on personal taste). If using sugar it is best to make a simple syrup. This is done by mixing the sugar with a 1/2 cup of hot water.
Step 4: Dice or slice the orange and apple and add to the Sangria.
Final Step: Mix and place in the refrigerator to chill.
It's best if made 6 hours in advance and served very cold.
This is an easy recipe that allows for many variations. Omit the brandy and vodka, substitute non-alcoholic wine, sparkling grape or sparkling apple juice and you will have a non-alcoholic version.
No need to buy expensive wine, I usually buy the jug or box wine. |
