Crust
1/2 cup margarine
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour

Topping
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinammon
4 cups peeled sliced almonds
1/4 cup sliced or slivered almonds

8 ounces cream cheese
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream margarine, sugar and vanilla together.
Blend in flour and spread on bottom and sides of pyrex pan. (6 1/2 X 10)
Combine cream cheese and sugar together.
Blend in egg and vanilla and pour onto pastry.
Combine sugar, cinnamon and apples and spoon over cheese layer.
Sprinkle with almonds.
Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to 400 degrees and bake 25 minutes.
Cut into squares and top with vanilla ice cream.
(heat may be reduced 25 degrees)
