3 pounds fresh or 3 15 ounce cans green beans
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup flour
1 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon accent
15 ounce can water chestnuts sliced
3/4 pack water chestnuts sliced
2 3 ounce cans mushrooms, save liquid
3/4 cup grated sharp cheese
2 tablespoons butter and two teaspoons soy sauce
1/8 teaspoon tabasco

Directions:
Directions:
Make white sauce.
Add mushroom liquid.
Stir in cheese.

In another skillet, saute mushrooms in two teaspoons butter.
Add soy, tabasco, pepper and accent.
Add sauce to mushroom mixture. Add drained chestnuts.
Butter dish and layer beans and sauce.
Sprinkle with slivered almonds.
Top with Bread Crumbs.
Spread cheese on top if desired. (optional)

Bake at 375 dgrees for 20-30 minutes.
