2 cups Milk (scalded)

1/2 cup Sugar

2 tsp. Salt

2 pkgs. Yeast

2 tbsp. Butter

4-5 cups Sifted flour (King Arthur)

1. Heat milk and butter on stove until milk begins to scald.

2. Remove from heat and let cool to Luke warm. Be sure it is Luke warm before you add yeast or bread will not rise.

3. When cool add yeast until dissolved.

4. To this add sugar and salt. Mix in flour until bread consistency.

5. Knead dough on floured surface for about 5 minutes. This will give the bread great texture.

6. Let rise for 1 hour till double in size, punch down and let rise again 1 hour

7. Roll out on floured surface kneed bread then put in bread pan and bake.

Bake 350 for 30 minutes or until hollow sounding when tapped
