3/4 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
3 tablespoons sour Milk
3 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
(3/4 teaspoon salt if use plain flour)

Topping

4 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons brown sugar
4 tablespoons flour
1 1/2 teaspoon cinammon

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Add soda, dissolved in sour milk. Mix well. Add flour, salt and vanilla.
Mix in apples. Pour in 2 greased loaf pans or 1 Bundt Pan. Combine last 4 ingredients. Spread evenly on batter. Bake at 325 degrees for one hour or until done.
