5 cups peeled, cored and thinly sliced McIntosh apples
1/2-3/4 cup sugar
1/2-1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
2 tbsps butter
2 pie crusts

Directions:
Directions:
Combine apples, sugar, salt and cinnamon. Put mixture in a 9 inch pie pan lined with an uncooked pie crust. Top with butter broken up into four pats. Moisten the crust with milk and place the second pie crust on top pinching the 2 crusts together. Trim off any extra crust. Cut a couple of slits in the top of the pie and bake in a 450 º oven for 15 min. then reduce heat to 350º and cook another 20-35 minutes.
