1 pound Tenderflake shortening
5 1/2 cups flour
1 beaten egg
1/2 teaspoon vinegar
dash of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix egg, vinegar & salt in a one cup measuring cup and fill with ice cold water to make 1 cup

Mix flour & shortening until mixture is crumbly - add water mixture and combine with your hands until a dough is formed. Do not over work this. Once you have a smooth round ball you are done.

Dough will make 5 pies and can be put in the freezer until you need it.
