1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup milk
1 3/4 cup flour
3 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
plums (pitted & halved) - apples can also be used - peel, core & cut into 8ths.
topping: 1/4 cup sugar & 1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
- stir flour, baking powder & salt in bowl.
- cream butter, gradually add sugar & mix.
- add egg & vanilla & beat until light & fluffy.
- stir in dry mix alternating with milk.
- pour into well-greased 7"x11" pan. place halved plums on edges in rows in the batter.
- mix topping & sprinkle over top.
- bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes until golden brown.

My friend Lisa Koorbatoff gave me this recipe - it is a great way to use plums and apples. very easy and good too.
