Cake:
1 c. butter
1 c. water
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. sour cream
1 tsp. almond extract
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda

Frosting:
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. milk
4 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 tsp almond extract. (I prefer Vanilla)
Combine butter and milk in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add powdered sugar and extract. Mix well using mixer and pour over cooled cake.

In a large saucepan, bring butter and water to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in: Flour, sugar, eggs, sour cream, almond extract, salt and baking soda until smooth. Pour into a greased jelly roll pan, 11 1/2 x 17, and bake at 370º for 20 minutes. Let cool 20 minutes before frosting.
