Bake 350 for 25 minutes

Ingredients:

5 slices White bread

2 tbsp. Butter

1/2 cup Raisins

1/4 tsp. Salt

1/2 cup Sugar

3 Eggs (beaten)

3 cups Scalded milk

1/2 tsp. Cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Toast bread and butter while hot. Arrange toast in buttered baking dish. Sprinkle with raisins.
Stir salt and all but 2 tbsp. of sugar into the eggs. Add milk and stir to mix well.
Pour over toast and let stand 10 minutes. Press toast lightly down to soak bread. Mix Cinnamon with remaining sugar and sprinkle on top. Bake @ 350 for 25 minutes or until inserted knife comes out clean and top is brown. Serve with light cream.

this during the depression as a treat for the family.
