1 ½ cup light brown sugar
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 sticks butter
½ box dates or raisins
3 eggs (well beaten)
1 lb. candied cherries (cut small)
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 lb. candied pineapples (cut small)
1 tsp. soda
7 cups pecans, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 300° F. Combine flour with fruit and nuts. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over flour mixture. Mix. Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake fore 20 to 25 minutes. Do not overcook. Put in plastic containers (with wax paper between layers).

Yields: approximately 85 cookies

NOTE: This recipe takes a big mixing bowl.
