1 8 oz pkg cream cheese, softened
1/2 C butter, softened
3/4 C powdered sugar
2 T. brown sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla (or to your taste)
3/4 C. mini chocolate chips
pecans, chopped fine (optional

Directions:
Directions:
Beat together the cream cheese and butter until smooth. Mix in the powdered sugar, brown sugar and vanilla. Mix well. Stir in the chocolate chips. Cover. Chill at least 2 hours. Shape chilled mixture into a ball. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill another hour. Unwrap and roll cheeseball in finely chopped pecans, if desired.

I have done this as a cheese ball... and also just as a dip in a bowl. You don't need the pecans, but if you still want them, you can either sprinkle on top, or mix into the cheeseball. Andrea did this recipe for a Halloween potluck and left in a bowl, then put a big, black, plastic tarantula on top of the dip, and served it with Scooby Doo shaped graham crackers. I made it for Election day to take to my fellow election officials with little flags stuck in it (toothpick) and served it with Angry Birds shaped graham crackers. Thought that was probably appropriate for the climate of the election. Ha.
