Directions:
Mix together softened butter and cream cheese. Add 1 1/2 c sugar, beating till fluffy. Add 2 tsp vanilla and 2 eggs, one at a time. Add flour, 1 cup at a time to make a stiff dough.

Divide dough into 3 discs. Wrap in plastic. Chill 2-3 hours.

Roll out on floured surface to about 1/4 to 3/8" thick. Cut into shapes as desired.

Bake in 375º preheated oven for 8:40 to 8;50 minutes (don't let edges brown). Cool on wire racks.

Ice cookies:

Beat all ingredients together. Make icing stiff to begin with to use as outline for the icing filling. Once you've outlined the cookies, think icing to 'flood' insides of cookies.
