3 1/2 c. flour, 1/2 c. sugar, 1/2 c. oil, 1 tbsp rum, 1 can ceci, 1/4 c. honey, pignoli, 1/2 c. confectioner's sugar, cinnamon, rum.

Directions:
Directions:
Dough: Beat and pound flour, sugar, oil and rum into a dough. Add sherry or white wine if needed to bring the dough together.
Filling: Cook can of ceci for 15 minutes, drain and mash. Add honey, pignoli, sugar, cinnamon and rum to taste. Filling should be on the dry side. You can add a tsp. of cocoa if you wish.
Roll out dough and cut in 3 in. circles. Put some filling on each circle and fold over to seal. Let dry for about 20 min. Fry in deep oil. These may be made with mashed cooked chestnuts instead of ceci.

Grandma wrote that this was a "Lynn recipe". I think that means she probably got if from Annie (Uncle Rico's mother).
