24 link sausage
Fresh onions
4 qts. canned tomatoes
4 cans tomato paste
3/4 C. sugar to sweeten
basil leaves
red pepper
oregano
salt and pepper
1 stick butter or margarine

Directions:
Directions:
Put canned tomatoes through sieve. add tomato paste and sugar, basil leaves, red pepper, oregano , salt and pepper. Put butter in pan. Saute onions and peppers . Put sausage in; cook until sausage is half done. Remove pan from heat, place sausage and onion mixture in a crockpot, pour sauce over and cook for 2 hours or longer on low.
