1 cup fruit pulp (20 prunes)
3/4 c sugar
1 T lemon juice
5 egg whites

Soft custard -
2 1/2 c milk
5 egg yolks
1/3 c sugar
1/16 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mash prunes with sugar, add lemon juice. Fold this into stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake in slow oven - 260º for 35 minutes.

Scald milk in double boiler. Combine some hot milk with egg yolks, stirring. Return to double boiler & cook, stirring constantly until mixture is thick and creamy & coats the spoon.
