2 cups sugar
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup Cocoa
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup boiling water

Chocolate Frosting:
1/2 cup butter
2/3 cup Cocoa
3 cups powdered sugar
1/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

Preheat oven to 350º. Grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans

Stir together sugar, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Beat on medium mixer speed 2 minutes. Stir in boiling water.

Bake 30-35 minutes or until wooden pick comes our clean. Cool 10 minutes. Remove to wire racks and cool completely. Frost.

Options: use a sheet pan. Use three 8-inch round pans. Use a Bundt pan. make 30 cupcakes.

FROSTING:

Melt butter. Gradually add sugar and milk, alternating and beating, to spreading consistency. Add vanilla. Frost cake when cake is cool.
