1 1/4 cups Flour
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1/2 Cup Shortening
1/2 Cup Sugar
1 Egg
1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla
1/4 Cup Maraschino cherries, chopped and drained
1/2 Cup Shredded Coconut meat
1/2 Cup Pecans or other nuts, Chopped
Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream shortening
2. Add sugar and cream well
3. Add egg and vanilla
4. Blend in dry ingredients
5. Mix Well
6. Add Cherries, coconut and nuts and mix well
7. Drop by rounded teaspoon onto lightly greased baking sheets
8. top each cookie with a quarter of a cherry
9. Bake 375' for 10 - 12 minutes
