1 Pound Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Shortening
2 Eggs
1 Scant Teaspoon Ground Cloves
1 Heaping Teaspoon Cinnamon
1 1/2 Teaspoons Nutmeg
1 heaping Teaspoon Baking Soda
1 1/4 Cups sour milk
2 1/2 Cups Flour
Directions:
Directions:
1. Beat together Brown Sugar, Shortening, eggs, Cloves, Cinnamon and Nutmeg
2. Add Baking Soda and Sour Milk
3. Add flour
4. Beat until very light
5. Bake at 350" until done
6. Ice
