1 ¾ cups flour
3 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 sticks butter
2 ½ cups brown sugar
1 cup water
6 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
5 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
1. Whisk flour, cocoa powder and salt and baking powder in a bowl
2. Bring two sticks butter, brown sugar and 1 cup water to a simmer in a saucepan.
3. Off the heat, whisk in 6 ounces chopped unsweetened chocolate; coo; slightly
4. Whisk in 5 eggs, one at a time and 2 teaspoons vanilla
5. Pour in the pan; bake 30 to 35 minutes

German Chocolate Brownies
Make Cakey Brownies; cool.
Top with German chocolate frosting.
Cook ¼ cup sugar and 1 tablespoon water in a saucepan over medium high heat until amber, 4 minutes.
Whisk in 1 cup coconut milk and 1 tablespoon corn syrup cook whisking 4 minutes.
Off the heat, whisk in ½ stick butter, ½ teaspoon vanilla and a pinch of salt; cool.
Stir in 1 cup each chopped toasted pecans and shredded coconut, and ½ cup chopped chocolate.
