1/2 pound butter
1/2 cup shortening
1 box brown sugar
1 cup sugar
5 large eggs
3 cups plain flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup milk
1 tsp. black walnut flavoring
1 cup black walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, shortening and brown sugar. Mix well, then add white sugar. Beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time. Sift remaining dry ingredients together, then alternately add milk. Add flavoring and nuts. Bake at 325 degrees until done.
