8 oz. Old Dutch Corn Puffs
2 C. brown sugar
1/2 C. dark corn syrup
1 C. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 Tbsp. Vanilla Extract (optional)
1 C. Salted peanuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 200º
Put corn puffs in a large roaster, set aside
In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, butter and salt. Bring to a boil and boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat, add baking soda (and Vanilla, if adding) and stir well. The mixture will foam up.
Pour caramel mixture over the corn puffs (and Peanuts, if adding) and mix well to coat evenly.
Spread evenly in large parchment lined pan.
Bake in oven for 1 hour; stirring every 15 minutes.
Pour mixture on parchment paper to cool.
