1 (4 lb) beef brisket
2 Tbsp Chili powder
2 Tbsp salt
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp onion powder
1 Tbsp black pepper
1 Tbsp sugar
2 tsp dry mustard
1 bay leaf, crushed
1 (10oz) can beef broth

Directions:
Directions:
Make a dry rub by combining chili power, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, sugar, dry mustard and crushed bay leaf.

Season raw brisket on both sides with the rub. Place in roasting Pan and roast, uncovered, for one hour at 350º F.

Add beef broth and enough water to make 1/2 inch liquid in roasting pan. Lower oven to 300º F, cover pan tightly and continue cooking for 3 hours or until fork tender.

Trim the fat and slice meat thinly across the grain.

Prepare Smoker with Mesquite Wood place Brisket in Foil Pan and smoke at 350 degrees uncovered for 1 hour. Add Beef Broth and water to make 1/2 inch of liquid in Pan and lower Smoker to 300 degrees, cover pan tightly with Foil and continue for 3 hours until fork tender.
